TIPS: Quick Travel Prep

Something that came up when I decided to book a next day flight LOL - Deciding to go on trips at the last minute (or even just travel itself) can be stressful, so here is a list of things to check before flying to help yourself ease into it!

CHECKLIST

  1. Have you booked your transport (flight/boat/overland) into the country? Do a quick check of entry requirements for the country - do you need visas / vaccines / proof of onward travel to enter.

  2. Where will you be staying?

  3. How will you get to your accomodation when you arrive? If you need to take private transport, what cab apps can be used in the country?

  4. Does the country have esims or can you buy a sim at the airport?

  5. Can you use card in the country or is it a cash heavy economy? Can you withdraw money via ATMs at the airport?

  6. What language is used in the country? Download it on a translate app such as Google Translate. You can also download the keyboard for the language.

Once you have these settled for your arrival, you can figure out the rest once you are in country! And re belongings, it is easy to be overwhelmed but remember that the most important thing is to have your passport, phone and wallet safe with you at all times. Prioritise these and the rest can often be resolved even if you forget something. Happy travels!
